How To Select A Domain Name

Selecting the right domain name for your website is one of the most important steps you will take when starting your own business.

What’s in a name? – Simply EVERYTHING!

Your domain name will tell people what you have to offer and will help them decide if they are interested in looking further. There are several ways you can select your domain name to bring in your customers.

So think about what it is your business offers. Try to select a domain name that reflects your product or service.

If you are just starting out with your first website it can feel a tad bit overwhelming trying to find your perfect domain name. You thought you had it – the perfect name – and then dag blast it, you found out someone else already snatched it up. Oh you may be able to buy it – for an arm and a leg as well as a few other, un-named body parts. Don’t despair, there are ways around that.

Try a hyphenated name. There’s nothing wrong with having a little “dash” in your domain name. As a matter of fact many times a hyphenated name is easier to read. Case in point, www.automaticsponsoring.com vs.
www.automatic-sponsoring.com .

Most of the domain registration sites offer name selection tools to attract business. Here are a few:

NameBoy (www.nameboy.com) has been around awhile and is one of the best. You enter a first and a second choice word to work with, plug in the type of site you have, and whether or not you want to use the hyphenation and rhyming features, then presto! It generates a list of possible names.

MakeWords.com (www.makewords.com) lets you select the language and the length of a possible domain name, plus prefix and suffix. Then it generates possible matches and lets you know if they are available.

DomainFellow.com (www.domainfellow.com) You start with a keyword and Domain Fellow adds up to 1,000 popular prefixes or suffixes to that word. For each combination you can see which domains are available and which have already been taken.

DomainNameSoup.com (www.domainnamesoup.com) Here you can mix and match words with domain names. These tools allow you to experiment with various combinations of hyphens, appending and pre-pending words, changing letters of a domain name and searching for typos. You can also try multiple choices, look for synonyms or juggling word combinations, etc. For the results they'll tell you what's available and what's not.

But take note! The above services don't necessarily have the lowest cost or best domain registrar services. I recommend GoDaddy or CheapNames.com these are the ones I currently use.

Now you may ask, “What type of extension should I get?” Well, here’s a fact; people are going to remember your website as a .com whether it is or whether it isn’t. So if you place an ad with something like www.Cakes-R-Us.net and they go to find you online, they will most likely type in www.Cakes-R-Us.com . You will have lost your potential customer to the.com address.

Specifically for the reason stated above for all your offline advertising you should always use your .com name.

Here’s something else you should do. If they are available you should pick up the other extensions .net, .biz and .info. With these other extensions you will be able to track your online, clickable advertising. By using a different extension with your advertising you will be able to see which ads are generating the most hits.

You will also use the different extensions to send people to different areas of your website. Logically, www.Cakes-R-Us.info domain is forwarded to the information pages about your business. www.Cakes-R-Us.biz can take prospects to your business opportunity page and so on.

Hope this information has been helpful.

Until then,

Attraction Marketing

In the last post we discussed The Law of Attraction. In this post we will talk about why it is important to use attraction in marketing your opportunity to prospects.

There was a young man I used to see at the train station every time I took the train to Philadelphia. Now I assume he was there every day because he was always there when I arrived at 30th Street Station.

He wasn’t a large kid. Kind of average looking but he was clean shaven and wore decent clothes. He really didn’t stand out in any way but one. All this fellow did all day long was to ask one question of everyone within hearing distance.

I don’t believe there was anyone passing through the train station who didn’t notice this kid because above all the noise of shuffling feet, arrivals and departures being announced and the noise of the trains you could always hear this young man’s question. "Wanna buy a book? Wanna buy a book? Wanna buy a book? Wanna buy a book? Wanna buy a book? Wanna buy a book?"

One day I stopped and asked him, “Are you selling a lot of books?” He said, “Enough to put myself through night school, ‘wanna buy a book?’”

Now I couldn’t help but notice that right across from where we were standing there was a bookstore. Through the window of the bookstore you could see that at least 30 or 40 people were in the store and many were in line to pay for the books they were already starting to read.

So what’s the point?

Here’s the point. Which was the more efficient form of marketing? Was it the kid yelling, “Wanna buy a book?” at everyone or was it the bookstore with a larger inventory and an expected expertise in providing good reading material?

Of course, it was the bookstore. Why? Because a very high percentage of the folks in the book store were looking to buy a book. The bookstore clerks did not have to go out in the crowd and ask people if they wanted to buy a book. No – the book buyers came to them. That, my friend, is what Attraction Marketing is all about. Attracting prospects who are already interested in what you have to offer. Prospects who will be seeking you out, eager to buy what you are selling or join whatever program you are representing.

Now you have to admire our young entrepreneur for his tenacity and persistence. I am sure he did sell quite a few books. However, I would venture to guess that over 99% of the people he came in contact with were not interested in buying a book and were at the least, annoyed by him. Of the other 1%, most of them probably avoided him and chose to get their book from the book store.

Now listen up – this is important.

If you are using outdated methods of recruiting taught by most of the networking companies out there – you are no different than that kid in Philadelphia yelling, “Wanna buy a book?”

"Hello, my name is Joe. How would you like to own your own business? I've got this amazing opportunity with this amazing product and the company is in pre-launch. Get in now and you'll be set for life!"

“Wanna buy a book?”

If you are using Joe’s approach, your friends and relatives are avoiding you like the plague and newcomers don’t want to get to know you either. You just don’t understand it. You have the golden opportunity of a lifetime. This is going to change the world as we know it. It’s the best thing since sliced bread, apple pie and Grandma’s cookies. Yet, no one seems to be the slightest bit interested. Don’t they understand what they are missing out on?

Well guess what. It’s not that they don’t understand – they just don’t care.

Here’s what you don’t understand. Most of the people you come in contact with - are not looking for a business opportunity.

So if you are following these methods;

Make a list of people you know
Bug your friends & family
3 foot rule

and other similar recruiting methods you will soon be disappointed, disillusioned, disheartened and finally defeated.

There is a way to approach friends and family without driving them away but that’s a subject for another time.

So how do you get prospects to come to you like they came to that bookstore at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia?

Well first of all, if you are reading this article you probably already know that you don’t need to plop down a few hundred thousand up to a few million dollars to buy a franchise. You don’t have to purchase another mega bucks worth of inventory, hire employees and all of the other riga-marole that goes along with a brick and mortar business.

Thank God you found out about Network Marketing where you can own your own business with a very small upfront investment, usually under $500. With your new enterprise you have a huge inventory at your fingertips. You have the benefit of building a gigantic sales force without any of the headaches of having employees with workman’s compensation, withholding, benefits, and all the other nightmares that go along with them.

And, along with all the other benefits you already know about - you have the option of running your business from your home or if it is like my travel business, you can run it from anywhere in the world you happen to be. All you need is a laptop and a cell phone or an all in one device like a Blackberry or an iPod.

What’s that you say? OK, OK, yeah, I get it – you got all that. You just need to know how to get prospects to come to you – right? Sorry I do tend to ramble on sometimes. Let me get to the point.

Here’s the deal. 95% of the people out there are not looking for a business opportunity. So don’t waste your time trying to convince them that they are. You need to concentrate on the 5% who are already looking for a business opportunity.

You are in the business of sorting. You need to sort out all of those who are not interested and focus on those who are.

So what’s the best way to do the sorting? You get them to come to you. You know if they seek you out – they are interested in what you have to offer – thus you are now dealing with the 5% of the interested not the 95% of the non-interested.

OK, OK, I hear you – Yeah, I know, I did it again, sorry but I really need you to understand how important it is to concentrate on the 5%. Look at it this way. In general MLM recruiting you are lucky to get a 1% or 2% sign up rate. That is one or two people will sign up for your program out of 100 people you talk to. If you are already talking to people who are interested in a business opportunity, you have a very good chance of bring that signup percentage up to 20% to 30%. I know one lady using these techniques who has close to a 90% closing ratio. That’s awesome! Now that’s the old cliché “Work Smarter not Harder” come to life.

So in order to get people to come to you – you have to become the bookstore?
"Huh! What’s he talkin bout Willis?"

What I mean is this. In the example of the bookstore at 30th Street Station, the bookstore was the place for people to go to have the best chance of finding what they were looking for. The bookstore had the expected expertise of providing good reading materials. You have to become the bookstore. In other words, you have to become the place to go for people who are looking for expertise on how to build a home based business. You have to become the one who people seek out to get information. You need to become an expert on building home based businesses.

“What!,” you say, “Me an expert, I’m just a housewife. I don’t know anything about building home based businesses.”

Now take it easy. Don’t get your shorts in a knot. Let me explain myself.

First of all, if you are really serious about doing a home based business and being successful at it you need to be committed to it. You can’t view it as a hobby. You need to treat it like a serious business. If you treat it like a hobby you will get a hobby check. If you treat it like a business you will get a business check.

So, now that I know you are committed to your business I know you will understand that you should have a business plan and you should be following that plan. If you don’t know what a business plan is Google it. I’m not here to teach you how to run a business but I am here to teach you how to use Attraction Marketing and get people to come to you. So start learning everything you can about your business and start visualizing yourself as an expert in your field.

If you want to be a leader you have to lead. In network marketing, leaders build large organizations and leaders with large organizations make large, insane amounts of money.

If I lost you back there when I said you have to become an expert. Don’t worry – I will be here to guide you every step of the way. I’ll hold your hand and we will walk this road together. You can do it – I know you can.

If you remember, I told the following story in the first post on this blog;

The other day, while I was giving a presentation, I asked a member of the audience. “Joe, let’s say you and I were both taking a trip. I was going to a city a thousand miles away but you were going only 50 miles – who would get to their destination first?” Joe said, “Well I would of course.” Can you guess why Joe’s answer was wrong? Joe didn’t have all the information. You see, I was taking a plane to my destination and Joe was driving a horse and buggy.

If you are not using modern technology by marketing your opportunity on the internet – you are still driving a horse and buggy to work.

You will use the power of the Internet to build your image – to become the bookstore.

The first thing you need to do is build a presence on the Internet. To do that you will need a domain name. We will discuss domain names in the next post.

Til then,
See You at the Top

The Law of Attraction

In this post, we are going to discuss The Law of Attraction.
Why are we discussing The Law of Attraction? Because we belive in it - it works.
On the Automatic Sponsoring blog you will also learn specific nuts and bolts applications of attraction marketing that will have prospects coming to you, clamering to sign up for your program.

Here is a definition of The Law of Attraction from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia;

This article is about the New Thought principle. For the scientific and historical laws, see Laws of attraction. For the film, see Laws of Attraction.

The phrase Law of Attraction, although used widely by New Thought writers, has a variety of definitions. Turn-of-the-century references conceptualized the law of attraction as relating to physical structure and to how matter develops. A more modern consensus among New Thought thinkers is that the Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Essentially "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it", but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.

Widespread popular interest for the law of attraction reached its peak after the release of the The Secret, a 2006 cinematic release. After the film's release, the book, Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham, by and Jerry Hicks made the New York Times Best Sellers list, drawing more attention and interest to this topic. Prior to this, the couple had been in the field since the '80s. In 2007, Oprah Winfrey began a series of interviews during her talk show on the law of attraction.

* Since many of the claims of the law of attraction appear impossible without violating established scientific principles and our understanding of the universe, it has received criticism from the scientific community. Physicist Ali Alousi, for instance, criticized it as unmeasurable (and therefore unscientific) as well as questioning the likelihood that thoughts can affect anything outside the head. The Associated Press is also quoted as saying that "some medical professionals suggest it could even lead to a blame-the-victim mentality and actually be dangerous to those suffering from serious illness or mental disorders".

* Response; Now I don’t know about you but sometimes I think our “scientific community” is blinder than a bevy of dingbats on a bright sunny day. They say the Law of Attraction’s results are unmeasurable. That’s just closed minded. The mind is like a parachute, if it doesn’t stay open – well – the results won’t be pretty - hair, teeth and eyeballs all over the landscape.

If the scientists can put a monkey in a cage, observe him, take notes, record their observations, measure the results of behaviour modification and come to scientific conclusions – then – why on earth can they not put a human in a real life situation, have him apply the principles and techniques of The Law of Attraction, observe him, take notes, record their observations, measure the results of behaviour modification and come to scientific conclusions?

There are numerous examples of spectacular results when the principles of The Law of Attraction are applied!

History is filled with successful leaders and most of them were willing and even eager to share the secrets of their success with others. Andrew Carnegie shared his secrets with Napoleon Hill and encouraged him to interview the great successes of his time. Men like Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D. Rockefeller, Harvey Firestone, Woodrow Wilson, John Wanamaker, George Eastman, F.W. Woolworth and the list goes on and on. Napoleon Hill found that these great men had much in common. One thing they all shared was the use of goal setting and visualization which are two of the core principles of the Law of Attraction.

Jim Carey
Some years ago I saw Jim Carey being interviewed by Barbara Walters. Jim told her about how a few years earlier, when he was still a struggling comic and washing dishes part time, he wrote a check to himself for $10,000,000. He dated it November 1995, and tucked it away in his wallet. In the Fall of 1995 he signed a $10,000,000 contract to film “THE MASK”.

Bruce Lee
A framed original copy of a contract hangs on display in the Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas. The contract with the word “SECRET” written across the top in red letters reads as follows:
MY DEFINITE CHIEF AIM
I, Bruce Lee, will be the first highest paid Oriental Super Star in the United States. In return I will give the most exciting performances and render the best of quality in the capacity of an actor. Starting in 1970 I will achieve world fame and from then onward till the end of 1980 I will have in my possession $10,000,000. I will live the way I please and achieve inner harmony and happiness. Bruce Lee, January 1969.
Bruce Lee’s life was cut short but there is no question that he more than reached his goal by the end of 1980.

George Burns
George Burns, actor and comedian, understood goal setting.
George had an outstanding career in Hollywood. Although his Burns and Allen performances with his wife Gracie were well accepted in his early career, his super success came in later years, after the age of 80. He was so successful at his craft that he was selected to play GOD in a couple of movies. It was George’s goal to reach 100 years of age. George died at age 100. Perhaps both George and Bruce should have set their goals a little further out.

In 1952 a poll was taken among the current Yale University graduating students. One of the questions asked was whether the students had definite goals in place or not. It was found that only 3% of them had goals set. In 1972, almost twenty years later, the students were again contacted to see what they had achieved. The results were astonishing! It was found that not only had the 3% achieved more than the others but that the net worth of that 3% exceeded the other 97% combined! Of course, money doesn’t indicate success in all things but it is a good yardstick to measure with in today’s society. So as you can see, goal setting is very important. But what kind of goals should you set? You should dream big and establish goals larger than yourself. You should visualize yourself already having accomplished these goals. You should review and visualize these goals daily.

You should have a lifetime goal. As you travel on life’s journey you need a destination. If you don’t have a destination you will surely get lost along the way.

‘Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?’ ‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat.
‘I don’t much care where—’said Alice.
‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.

More - Better - Bigger - Faster - Easier

Hi, and welcome to Automatic-Sponsoring, my name is Dave Carter, many of you already know me as the author of The Freedom Formula, the book that has changed many lives and set those lives on the road to personal and financial freedom.

If you haven’t read The Freedom Formula, I encourage you to get it and read it as soon as possible. You will find your copy at http://www.amazon.com/ http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ http://www.abebooks.com/ or most other book re-sellers. We will be using many of the principles of success found in The Freedom Formula when we lay out the exact procedures that will take you to your goal of building a giant networking organization automatically.

You are going to learn how to sponsor more people into your organization. You will learn how to build a better functioning sales team. You will see your down line grow bigger than you ever thought possible. I’m here to tell you that when you use Automatic-Sponsoring techniques it really is easier to build larger and faster than it is to continue struggling with your inefficient methods that are bringing you ineffective results.

Imagine how you will feel when you start living the life you so richly deserve.

The problem that most of us have encountered in trying to improve our situations is that we have used techniques that were programmed into us in the government monopoly school system.

We have been taught;

You get ahead by hard work and determination
You need to keep your nose to the grindstone
You have to use your willpower
No rest for the weary
Stay within the lines
Speak when spoken to
Don’t ask questions
Do as you are told
Wait your turn
Obey Authority

But when we applied those methods and obeyed those rules by going to work for Corporate America did we find the American Dream?

No – what we found is that as long as we work for someone else we are only helping them achieve their dreams.
We knew that as long as we were on someone else’s payroll we were only a participant in someone else’s dream.

Most of those who have tried to adhere to “the path of success prescribed by the establishment”, have given up after a time in utter frustration.

Many of you have come to the conclusion that “The American Dream” is a crock. After busting your butt and doing as you were told, you find that instead of “Just a Bowl of Cherries”, your life is “Just a Big Bucket of Bull Pucky”.

What we were never taught…indeed, what they didn’t want us to know, was that mastering those “principles of success” prescribed by the state programming machine, the public school system, will only make us good obedient workers for someone else.

So then –we tried to break free – become entrepreneurial and start a home based business of our own. What happened? We were given a whole new outdated set of rules by which we were going to realize the American Dream.

· Make a list
· Become a salesperson overnight
· Pester your friends and family
· Use the 3 foot rule
· Spend money on advertisements
· Do home parties

And guess what – if you are still using the methods taught by 96% of the MLM companies out there – you are even worse off than when you were grinding out those long tedious hours in Corporate America.

So what’s the answer? How can you possibly get to the other side of the money?

Well, first of all let me congratulate you. If you are in a home based, networking business – you have found the right vehicle.

Your instincts were right. The stories you have heard about folks getting large checks and residual income to last generations – well those stories are true. There is nothing out there that compares to the network marketing industry. Where else can you get involved with a business that has the potential to put millions of dollars in your pocket with an upfront investment, in most cases, of under 500 dollars?

The problem is – 95% of you who try network marketing will fail within the first year. So how do you become one of the 5% who win the magic networking lottery? You just need to know how market your business with 21st Century methods.

Let me put it this way;

Now listen up. This is very important.

If you are not using modern technology by marketing your opportunity on the internet – you are still driving a horse and buggy to work.

When you apply the techniques you will learn with Automatic Sponsoring you will see the ease with which your networking enterprise will fall into place.

Now I’m not going to sit here and tell you that you can just snap your fingers and presto you will wake up in the morning with a giant organization. But what I am going to tell you is this;

If you follow the steps laid out for Automatic-Sponsoring. If you do the processes and implement the strategies exactly as they are explained – then my friend – you will experience a growth that will start small but soon gather momentum and then that elusive success will be yours.

On these pages you will learn the exact methods to bring your dreams to reality. Stop by on a regular basis and you will soon be living the dream.
